Property Tax Information

Property tax bills have been mailed to Grant Township homeowners. Information about the tax bills is available by clicking on the following links. The documents include a property tax-related article from the 2010 Grant Township Newsletter and the 2010 and 2011 Big Hollow School District property tax levies. Additionally, there are two charts pertaining to the 29 Lake County Elementary School Districts; one is about revenues and the other about operating expenditures.

Registration Forms Are Now Online!!

The student registration forms for School Year 2012-13 are now available online.  Click here to access the registration page or on the “Parents” tab at the top of this page. A packet of pre-printed registration documents is available by contacting the school district office.

The deadline for registering students at the current fee is Friday June 15.

In addition, Big Hollow is now accepting registration fee payments online.  Click here, or the e-Funds link on the grade level registration pages, to access the online payment system.

Please come and join us to say farewell to Mr. Pazanin. Friday, May 18th from 7:00-9:00pm in the Middle School Board room.

STUDENT SAFETY

Student safety is a Big Hollow priority. Please be aware of the following way people can contribute to a safe school environment:

•  School Busses. Do not pass a school bus which has activated flasher lights and an extended stop arm; bus drivers will report the vehicle’s license plate number. The lane in front of the Primary and Elementary School buildings is designated for Early Childhood bus arrivals and dismissals (in the morning, at mid-day and at afternoon dismissal); vehicles should not be in that lane during those times----please use the parking lot. Students must ride their designated bus to and from school and will only be allowed to ride another bus for emergency reasons which are approved by the school district office.

• A student who arrives at school after the starting bell will not be allowed to go to class, or who is leaving before the end of the school day will not be allowed to leave the building, unless a parent or properly designated person comes to the school building office and sign-in/out the child.

• During the school day, people who wish to enter the school building and go to classroom/gym/lunchroom areas must wear a visitor’s badge. To get a badge the individual must give her/his driver’s license to office personnel who will place it through an electronic scanner which will produce the required visitor’s photo badge. The scanner will identify any person who is/has been a convicted sexual offender.
